Bartender competitions are the worst! We started with a list of all of the things that we hate about cocktail competitions and set out to do the opposite (while keeping what they got right).
Instead of limiting bartenders’ creativity to what they can put in or on a glass, we literally put them on stage and treated them like rock stars!
Bartenders formed a band, picked a song, designed a cocktail inspired by that song, and then Sang & Slung on stage, at the same time. Costumes, choreography, and craziness ensued. The whole thing was decidedly off-brand for Patrón, and nobody – most importantly the brand – took themselves too seriously.
