The Luxardo Bitter Bianco Cocktail Search (‘The Cocktail Search’) is organized by the OFFSITE in conjunction with Anchor Distilling Company (‘The Organizers’).
Recipes will be judged on five categories:
1. Representation of Bitter Bianco
5. How Close to Clear is it?
6. How Accessible/Consumer-Friendly is It?
Luxardo Bitter Bianco is the first Italian bitter that is clear. The Luxardo Bitter Bianco Cocktail Search is meant to highlight this uniqueness, and submissions should show off the range, complexity and creativity of cocktails that are themselves completely clear.
The Search will yield five finalist who will have their cocktail made for a crowd of influencers and industry members at a Showcase in Boston: where a single recipe will be selected as the Grand Prize winner.
Entrants should be currently working at a bar or other on-premise establishment in the state of Massachusetts.
Recipes must be submitted by noon EST on the designated recipe due date to be considered for The Cocktail Search.
Incomplete or incomprehensible recipes will not be considered in The Cocktail Search.
All submissions must be accompanied by a photograph in order to be considered: entrants will not receive (or lose) points based upon the quality of their photographs; however, the cocktail image is yet another tool to be used by the judging panel to help decide how they would like to award their points.
All decisions of the judging panel shall be final
A Panel of esteemed judges will review enlisted to judge all three rounds.
- Round One: Online Submissions: Judges will review all online submissions blind. Each judge will assign a score in each of the posted categories. The ten recipes with the highest scores will be selected as semi-finalists, at which point their creators will be notified, and they will be invited to feature their cocktails at their respective bars.
- Round Two: Account Visits: The judging panel will visit the accounts of all 10 semi-finalist cocktails. The judges will then select 5 finalists to serve their cocktails at the Showcase event in Boston on December 12th.
- Round Three: The Showcase Event: At the Showcase event, the Bar staff at the hosting venue will be make and present the 5 semi-finalist cocktail to up to 300 guests.
At the Event on December 12th, the Grand Prize winner will be determined by attendees at the Launch Event.
There will be two winners:
- The recipe receiving the highest score from the judges will be deemed the Grand Prize Winner.
-All attendees will receive a voting token and the recipe receiving the most votes will be deemed the People's Choice Winner.
All cocktails must use Luxardo Bitter Bianco.
Competitors are not allowed to change their recipe or cocktail during the course of The Recipe Search.
All submitted recipes should be measured in ounces or parts thereof. Instructions for creation should be delineated clearly, and garnish explained in detail.

There is no maximum to the number of ingredients allowed; drinks should be designed to be delicious and balanced (and judges will be looking at what each ingredient contributes to the overall experience).
Drinks may be stirred, shaken, or built. Drinks may not be blended or served hot. A
